New Release of Industrial M2 Grade DC-DC ConvertersWhat is Industrial M2 Grade DC-DC Converter? We’ve recently introduced an industrial M2 grade series of DC-DC converters, specifically designed for harsh environments, particularly in extremely cold weather conditions. These converters are well-suited for situations where low temperatures are prevalent, either due to high altitudes or latitudes. In such regions, the need for DC-DC converters that can withstand cold temperatures becomes paramount. Nevertheless, it’s important to acknowledge that operating a DC-DC converter at -55°C presents numerous challenges, and doing so without any limitations can be quite demanding. Here are some examples of applications that may require DC-DC converters capable of operating below -40°C such as Arctic and Antarctic research and environmental monitoring instruments, transportation, telecom device, remote sensing and satellite ground station equipment, etc.
Most manufacturers of electronic components for power supplies specify their function only down to -40°C. The component selection and the design of the DC-DC converter would be challenging. Cincon overcame the challenge and brought you the following newly extended cold-resistant models.
