Cincon CSC01 Current Sharing Module New Release

Introducing the CSC01: Cincon’s New Current Sharing Module

We are thrilled to announce the release of our latest innovation, the CSC01. This current sharing module marks a significant advancement in power conversion technology, aimed at meeting the growing demand for higher output power coverage in modern electrical systems.

Expanding Power Coverage

The primary objective behind the development of the CSC01 is to expand our product line to cover higher output power requirements. As the market demands higher power for electrical equipment, it becomes imperative for us to provide solutions that cater to these evolving needs.

Understanding Current Sharing

At the heart of this new module lies the concept of „current sharing.“ Current sharing, also known as load sharing, is a technique employed in power conversion products to evenly distribute the system load current across all power products during parallel operation. This not only enhances system reliability but also ensures efficient thermal management by preventing overloading of individual power conversion products. Furthermore, the CSC01 utilizes the „Voltage Droop“ method to achieve current sharing. By creating voltage variance at the negative output when subjected to load, this innovative technique enables two or more power conversion products to balance the current effectively.

Addressing High-Power System Needs

In today’s landscape, achieving high-power systems often entails the parallel operation of multiple power conversion products. However, this necessitates the implementation of current sharing techniques to ensure equitable distribution of load current. The CSC01 stands as an ideal solution to address this critical requirement. One prominent application case for the CSC01 is its utilization in the PDF700S parallel configuration. With CSC01, Cincon currently has practical application data for eight PDF700S units connected in parallel, totaling 4760 Watts. If more units need to be connected in parallel, please consult Cincon for technical advice. Below is a reference circuit example for CSC01 with PDF700S:

Symbol Component
D* External ORing diodes.
VR1 External adjustable resistor. It is used to adjust the output voltage at full load.
VR2 External adjustable resistor. It is used to adjust the output voltage at full load.
R1, R1A External sense resistor.
R3, C3, C3A External resistor and capacitor for feedback compensation. The typical value of R3 and C3 is null and C3A is 0.22uF.
+Sense, -Sense External voltage compensation for converter
