Key specs:
The EC7AW18 series is our new 18:1 ultra-wide input DC-DC converter that provides 10W of regulated power in the size of 1.25 x 0.8 inches (31.8 x 20.3 mm). It has safety approvals for IEC/UL 62368-1 3rd edition and 3000Vac isolation (input to output).
It is available in single outputs of 5, 12 and 15 VDC, and in dual outputs of ±5, ±12 and ±15 VDC. The remote on/off function is also provided. In addition, this series is compliant to EN 50155 with external circuits, Shock & Vibration EN 61373 and Fire & smoke EN 45545-2 for railway applications.
Exceptional Performance:
The EC7AW18 offers the ultra-wide input voltage range from 8.5~160 VDC which covers common distributed voltages in railway power system. Moreover, it has the outstanding high efficiency up to 88%, and the wide operating case temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. This DC-DC converter can be used at a high altitude up to 5000m max., and the remarkable MTBF would be up to 2365k hours.
Full Protections:
Safety approvals include IEC/UL 62368-1 3rd edition, and EN 50155 (with external circuits), and EN 45545-2 requirements for the essential railway market needs. In addition, this series passes the requirements of interruptions of voltage supply Class S3 and the voltage change-over class C2. The EC7AW18 series is fully protected by the input UVLO (under voltage lock out), output over-current/voltage, and continuous short circuit protection.
Applications:
This DC-DC power supply is very suitable for a variety of railway applications such as information system, entertainment system, and CPU and motor driver of door control system.
