Eaton announces new Martek Power PME family of DC/DC converters for Rail Applications.
Eaton is pleased to announce a new family of highly efficient, very compact chassis mount converters which are fully compliant with the latest European rail standards for electronic equipment for use on‐board rail vehicles, including EN 50155, EN 50121‐3‐2 and EN 45545‐2. The PME Series is available in three power levels of 75W (PMEL), 150W (PMEM) and 300W (PMEH). The PMEL and PMEM feature an ultra‐wide 10:1 input voltage range of 14.4 – 137.5Vdc thus covering all nominal battery voltages in a single model, and outputs of 12V, 15V or 24V are available. The PMEH features dual range input models of 24/36V and 72/110V and outputs of 15V or 24V. The PME Series is fully isolated, offers very high efficiency and an ambient operating temperature range of ‐40°C to 70°C without de‐rating. All models include isolated output voltage monitoring as standard, and the 300W PMEH also features output current sharing, together with a low loss output series device, so two or more converters can be connected in parallel for increased system power or redundant operation.
75W PMEL series
Description
The PMEL series is the low power model in a new range of highly cost effective, single output converters for chassis mounting. The range is fully compliant with the latest European standards for railway equipment, including EMC and fire and smoke.
